Last time I was in IWZ, there was this project of a RP hub being built, I was confused as to what was going on. Unless I'm totally wrong it didn't turn out to be the buzz. Ok this is how I would've designed the RP hub for newcomers to immerse themselves in IWZ. Goth, Vampire, Steampunk, Fantasy would be the four categories I would've started on. Basically I would have four sims with the welcome sim centred and all separated by stretches of water. I would design each sim to suit the theme of the RP, have places to socialise, enjoy, chill and animate. Within these themed sims I would've had mentors situated on the sim as residents to help all newcomers immerse by handing out freebies to change their avatars to suit the RP sim, so that they may blend in, and give them all the advice and help the newcomers would want. All this would create green dotted sims, a place of socialisation, entertainment and retention. From herein, these newcomers could then stretch their wings, arms and become an InWorldzian, but hey, what do I know, I'm a silly zebra. I would've kept the old welcome centre not the current one, it's too icy and unwelcoming, and interlocked it with the RP sims with beautiful majestic bridges and lil boats, yup lovely boat cruisin' Sounds nice doesn't it Oh and the coup de grace would've been my special airtours. As a newcomer wouldn't you want to enter a VW like this, enjoy and explore, instead of tp-ing at a welcome centre, being welcomed by a bot and told to put on a tour guide hud and go explore somewhere? Retention much ?

I have to admit that the HUB did not turn out as i had envisioned When I visited it was like... wtf I had no idea what to do or where to go & I have been a VWer for over 10yrs what chance would a complete noob have? Agree 100% and that's from someone who helped work on it. I don't think it turned out anything like the original thoughts/plans and hard work which was put in to it prior to the building beginning (so many freaking meetings that went to waste!). I haven't been back to the sims since I helped with it so have no idea who is running it, maintaining it or if it's still even active. I don't even know if the bots are still there that I put down and wish that more could have been done with it. Chopper did the big buildings for me, cars, roads, etc. But I didn't have the resources for scripting or other various things that the other genre's had. In other words..I was very disappointed with my own stuff as much as I was the entirety of it. (what Ero wrote is very similar to what it was supposed to be but done in a T with the welcome center at the bottom and the other sims attached to it in a line with forest and waterways/paths, etc for people to get to the different genres. What it turned out to be is nothing like what was discussed or what I thought it would be.)
