I, I say nay'er a word,
The world it elates in news.
I have heard, your presence burns hearts of men,
A step outside, and your feet set ablaze fields.
When your name is pronounced, permission granted, life is given.
I am nothing more than a monochromed beast,
Humanised by your touch.
My verses say nothing to nowt,
For I am nothing more than an illiterate poet.

These People, The perplexities of rationality kill people. The inflictions of hate kill people, By themselves, no one dies, people kill people.
Oh the people who tried me, they wept after trying me, My story of longing they told, constantly weeping. If there was someone with kind heart, whose story was simply of love, Whom I can confide in and cry, and they can confide in me and cry.
I am a nation-less traveller, I have no one, not a single shoulder to cry on, They passed right by me and did not even ask of my sorrow. Sometimes disheartened, the people I meet on my path. I reconciled then wept with them, they reconciled then wept with me.

An extract from a poem by an Indian Princess... who gave up her worldly pleasures.
O’ friend, I am driven mad with love,
No one understands my pain.
~
I know not the restraints of love,
Nor the rituals of worship.
~
It’s wayward and headstrong this crazy love of mine,
I’ve turned both my eyes into burning lamps for my love.
~
O’ friend, I am driven mad in love,
No one understands my pain.
~
I stand by the riverbank,
Watching the waters mix.
~
I, so full of sin and my love so pure,
How can we ever meet ?
~
I play a game of chance with my love,
If I win he’s mine, If I lose I’m his!
~
I write to my beloved and call unto him,
The truth, since he went away, my eyes have become restless.
~
If I put kohl in my eyes it now hurts,
In these eyes only my beloved dwells.
~
My beloved came to me in my dream and embraced me passionately,
Fearful, I did not open my eyes in-case I lose him again!
~
Only the broken hearted know the pain of the wounded,
No one else can realise my hurt.
~
O’ friend, I am driven mad in love,
No one understands my pain.

The inebriated were tangled in a moral argument,
as the doors opened, all arguments settled!
~
This is a tavern who’s patrons thirst for love,
we are all drinkers here, intoxicated by desire.
~
Here! O’ listener, is our guide,
for this is a tavern where our hearts catch fire.
~
This is the tavern of love.

This broken star lived amongst the celestial firmaments. My abode was once the illuminated heavens and now the darkness of this earth. How far have I fallen, fallen from the heavens, who has... have I ?
The breath that I breathe will continue til I cease, struck from the heavens and thrown to the depths of this mortal coil, how I have fallen.
When there was nothing there was something, what if nothing happened would there be something.
I have been immersed in something not knowing what it is, can it be nothing.

Your gaze, Has lit my eyes like oil filled lamps, Lamps ablaze, My longing vanquished.
I feel joyous, blessed, Desires, like holy words chanted, Chanted outside your doorway.
Sacred words flow from my lips, Praising your beauty, Moist in praise, awaiting your kiss.
At your abode, Lamps where lit, My eyes locked in your gaze, My heart forever cleft asunder.

[verses from an ancient subcontinent, from a story forever told]
I put on all my finery, to see you my beloved.
But when I see you, I forget myself.
What a skillful archer you are, you always pierce my heart.
Just one glance, My heart becomes overwhelmed.
All my finery becomes nothing, the moment my eyes meet yours.
Let me tell you, ashamed to tell another, with one touch, you send me soaring above the heavens.
The way to a heart is treacherous, how can I fill it when it's broken.
When will this garland be real, when will we wed.
I am in such a state, distracted thinking of you, turning every stone, seeking, what a poor state I have become, simply wandering.
Seeing me, why did you stay motionless, seeing you, I become mad and uncontrollable.
I beseech you to preserve my honour, My veil has been torn.
I am yours, I took on your colour, you gave me nectar, I am now drunk.
All my finery became nothing, as I become yours.
